🧶 Make an Apron – Creative Fabric Workshop for Teenagers
Looking for a fun and creative activity for teenagers in Doncaster? Join our Make an Apron Workshop — a hands-on sewing class designed for young people aged 12–18, or up to 25 with diagnosed Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
Thanks to support from Doncaster’s Universal Fund, this friendly workshop helps teens unwind, try new skills, and express themselves through colour, texture, and design. It’s a great way to build confidence in a calm, supportive, and inclusive space.
✂️ Workshop Overview: Make an Apron
In this 3-hour session, teens will design and sew their very own personalised apron to take home. With a vibrant selection of fabrics to choose from, each participant will:
Pick colours and patterns that reflect their personality
Learn to use a sewing machine safely and confidently
Cut out an apron shape using easy-to-follow templates
Sew on straps and add decorative details
Personalise with embellishments like felt shapes, fabric pens, or trims
By the end of the workshop, each teen will leave with a finished, functional apron — perfect for cooking, crafting, or gifting to someone special.
This session supports creativity, coordination, and confidence — all in a relaxed, fun environment.
