🧶 Crochet for Beginners Workshop Doncaster – Creative Yarn Craft Class for Teens
Looking for a fun and creative activity for teens in Doncaster? Join our Crochet for Beginners Workshop — a hands-on class designed for young people aged 12–18, or up to 25 with diagnosed Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
Thanks to support from Doncaster’s Universal Fund, this friendly session helps teens relax, try something new, and express themselves through colour, texture, and yarn. It’s a great way to build confidence in a calm and inclusive space.
✂️ Workshop Overview: Learn to Crochet Your First Project
In this 3-hour workshop, teens will learn how to crochet a simple item. This could be a small coaster, mini square, or pouch. Each participant will:
Learn to hold a crochet hook and yarn
Try beginner stitches like chain and double crochet
Follow a simple, easy pattern
Start and personalise their first project
With step-by-step guidance, everyone will leave with a handmade item — and a big sense of achievement!
This session supports fine motor skills, focus, and creativity. Most importantly, it’s fun and stress-free.

We provide everything your teen needs to complete their crochet project:
A selection of colourful, soft yarns to choose from
Beginner-friendly crochet hooks and tools
Simple, easy-to-follow project patterns
Use of all equipment and materials
One-to-one and group guidance from an experienced instructor
Drinks and snacks during short, relaxed breaks
A completed crochet piece to take home and show off
❌ What You Need to Bring
Nothing! We supply everything. Simply bring your child and their imagination — we’ll handle the rest. Because we know comfort matters, we make sure the space is warm, clean, and welcoming.

Time: 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Duration: Approx. 3 hours (with short breaks to keep things fun and relaxed)
