Get your child crafting in this fun, hands-on paper art workshop in Doncaster! First, kids aged 5 to 11 will choose colourful papers, stickers, stencils, and embellishments. Next, with expert guidance and child-safe tools, they’ll create their own unique paper crafts. All in all, all materials are provided. Best of all, no experience is needed—just bring imagination and a smile!

Looking for a fun, hands-on activity for your child in Doncaster? Look no further! Join the Universal Fund – Make Your Own Cards Workshop, a beginner-friendly creative class designed especially for kids aged 5 to 11.

Thanks to generous funding from Doncaster’s Universal Fund, this exciting workshop sparks imagination through colour, paper, and creativity — all within a safe, supportive space.

🎨 Workshop Overview: Create Your Own Handmade Cards

During this 2-hour session, children will dive into the world of card making in a relaxed and welcoming environment. To begin with, they’ll select their own coloured papers, stickers, shapes, and decorations. Next, with expert guidance, they’ll design and create a variety of beautiful handmade cards — perfect for birthdays, holidays, or special occasions to take home and share.

Throughout the session, your child will enjoy full creative freedom with colours, textures, and designs. As they cut, fold, glue, and decorate, they’ll naturally develop fine motor skills, confidence, and pride in their unique creations.

Most importantly, every child will feel encouraged and supported by our friendly, child-focused instructor, who makes learning fun and inclusive for everyone.

Everything your child needs is provided! Here’s what’s included:

  • A wide selection of colourful papers, stickers, stencils, and embellishments

  • Child-safe scissors, glue sticks, and crafting tools

  • Step-by-step instruction from a qualified craft tutor

  • A fully equipped creative space designed for kids

  • Short, scheduled breaks with drinks and snacks

  • Several completed paper craft projects to proudly take home

❌ What You Need to Bring

Absolutely nothing! All tools and materials are included. Ultimately, just bring your child ready to learn, create, and have fun.

⏰ Workshop Time & Duration

  • Time: 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM

  • Duration: Approx. 2 hours (with short breaks to keep things fun and relaxed)

🎓 Skill Level

This class is ideal for complete beginners aged 5 to 11. No prior crafting experience is needed.

Moreover, the session is adaptable for different learning styles and is inclusive for children with additional needs. Every child is welcomed and encouraged to participate at their own pace.

This workshop is proudly supported by a grant from Doncaster Metropolitan Borough Council (DMBC), as part of the Universal Fund for Children and Young People. Overall, this fund helps provide enriching, inclusive activities for young people aged up to 19 years — or up to 25 years for those with diagnosed special educational needs or disabilities.

As a result, families can access creative opportunities without financial barriers.
