Welcome to Tuesday Time Out – Creative Sessions, a weekly creative sewing for wellbeing workshop designed for people who would like to get out and about, try new skills, and build confidence in a calm, supportive environment.

These sessions are delivered at Sew Mindful Crafts and are available to everyone, especially suitable for individuals who may be feeling socially isolated, lacking confidence, or going through a difficult period in their lives. Above all, Tuesday Time Out offers a welcoming space where there is no pressure, no judgement, and no expectation, just time for you.


🌱 About Tuesday Time Out – Creative Sessions

Life can feel overwhelming at times. For this reason, Tuesday Time Out has been created as a gentle weekly opportunity to slow down, reconnect with others, and focus on learning something new.

Each session combines creative activity, confidence-building, and social connection. As a result, participants are supported not only to develop practical skills, but also to improve mood, increase self-belief, and feel part of a community.


🪡 What You’ll Be Doing

During these weekly creative sessions, participants will take part in a range of accessible, confidence-building sewing activities. In particular, you can expect to:

  • Learn new creative and sewing-based skills at your own pace

  • Use sewing machines and overlockers with guidance and support

  • Take part in simple, achievable projects designed to build confidence

  • Create new handmade items over time

  • Develop skills gradually, therefore reducing anxiety around learning

  • Enjoy a calm and friendly environment where conversation is optional

Each week will introduce new activities or products, ensuring variety while still allowing repetition and reassurance. Meanwhile, participants are encouraged to work in a way that feels comfortable for them.

  • No prior sewing or creative experience is required

  • Total beginners are very welcome

  • Support and encouragement are provided throughout
