Welcome to our Quilting Workshop For Beginners. This workshop is great for people who would love to make a patchwork quilt but not sure how to start. Our tutor Anita has a wealth of knowledge in quilting and will guide you on your journey.
Please note this workshop is a follow up and is now stage 7 making the Applique Block
What you will be doing: On this workshop you will be shown how to measure and cut out your fabric, the correct way to use a rotary cutter and quilting ruler, how to set out and sew together your fabric pieces producing your 10th amazing quilt blocks called Applique. This workshop will continue to have new dates making a range of quilting blocks and how to attach them to then make a beautiful quilt.
Skill Level: Basic knowledge on using a sewing machine
Workshop Duration: This workshop is approx. 3 hours, 10am – 1pm
Requirements: applique, you will only require small pieces of fabrics to cut out for your applique block, these will match the colours of your previous colour theme, matching thread.
Optional: You can use more colours if you wish this would just require extra pieces of fabric
Included: The use of our new Brother sewing machines, irons, mini irons, mini ironing boards, cutting Mats, scissors, rotary cutters, pencils, rulers and tapes. We provide all the equipment & tutor
Not Included: Fabric and thread for your project.

Free Carparking : We have a large car park to the rear of our building, or you can park straight over the road at Home Bargains. Our workshop area and the adjoining shop (Sewcute Fabrics) has wheelchair access.
You can help yourself to hot & cold drinks from our kitchen free of charge
Lunchtime will be a half hour break. We suggest you fetch a packed lunch. A microwave & fridge is available to use. There is a chip shop and other shops in close proximity.
