🧵 Quilting Workshop for Beginners – Stage 6 (Tumbling Blocks & Josephine Knot)
Welcome to our Quilting Workshop for Beginners, a friendly and supportive workshop series designed for anyone who would love to make a patchwork quilt but isn’t sure where to start. For those who have already begun their quilting journey, this workshop also offers the perfect opportunity to continue building skills and confidence in a relaxed environment.
This session is delivered at Sew Mindful Crafts and is led by our experienced tutor Anita. With a wealth of quilting knowledge, Anita will guide you step by step throughout the session, ensuring you feel supported and confident at every stage.
👉 Please note: This is a follow-on workshop and is now Stage 6. During this session, you will be creating two new quilt blocks, allowing you to further expand your growing quilt collection.
🪡 What You’ll Be Doing
During this hands-on quilting workshop for beginners, you will be shown how to:
Measure and cut your fabric accurately, so your pieces fit together neatly
Use a rotary cutter and quilting ruler correctly and safely, therefore improving both accuracy and confidence
Lay out and sew your fabric pieces together, bringing your designs to life step by step
Create your 8th and 9th quilt blocks – Tumbling Blocks and Josephine Knot
As the workshop series continues, new dates will introduce additional quilting blocks and techniques. Over time, you’ll also learn how to join your completed blocks together, resulting in a beautiful handmade patchwork quilt you can be proud of.
