Each session runs for 2 hours, covering all the essential elements of podcasting, including planning content, recording, editing, publishing, and promoting your podcast. The sessions are practical, hands-on, and designed to boost confidence and creativity.

Join our 4-week Podcasting Workshop to learn everything you need to create, produce, and share your own podcast.
Each session runs for 2 hours, covering all the essential elements of podcasting, including planning content, recording, editing, publishing, and promoting your podcast. The sessions are practical, hands-on, and designed to boost confidence and creativity.

🗓 Starts: Tuesday 11th November 2025 and runs for 4 weekly sessions (Nov 11th, 18th, 25th, and Dec 2nd)

🕓 Time: 3:00 – 5:00 pm (weekly for 4 weeks)

💷 Cost: £5 per session

Please note: You need to make a booking for each individual date you wish to attend. You do not need to book all sessions to access these classes.

Session 1 Objective: Define your podcast’s purpose, audience, and format.
Topics Covered:
What is a podcast? Types and formats
Identifying your niche and target audience
Choosing a podcast name and theme
Planning episode structure and length
Creating a content calendar
Activities:
Brainstorm podcast ideas
Draft your show’s concept and elevator pitch
Outline your first 3 episodes
Session 2: Recording & Equipment
Objective: Learn how to record high-quality audio and set up your gear.
Topics Covered:
Essential gear: microphones, headphones, interfaces
Recording software (Audacity, GarageBand, Riverside, etc.)
Recording techniques and environment setup
Solo vs co-hosted vs interview formats
Remote recording tips
Activities:
Practice mic technique and voice delivery
Record a short intro or trailer
Review and critique sample recordings
Session 3: Editing & Production
Objective: Edit your podcast for clarity, flow, and polish.
Topics Covered:
Editing basics: cutting, fading, leveling
Adding music, intros, outros, and transitions
Noise reduction and audio cleanup
Exporting and file formats
Copyright and royalty-free music sources
Activities:
Edit your trailer or intro
Add music and effects
Peer review and feedback
Session 4: Publishing & Promotion
Objective: Launch your podcast and build an audience.
Topics Covered:
Hosting platforms (Buzz sprout, Anchor, Pod bean, etc.)
Submitting to directories (Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Google)
Writing show notes and episode descriptions
Promotion strategies: social media, collaborations, SEO
Monetization basics
Activities:
Set up a podcast hosting account
Create cover art and show description
Publish your first episode or trailer
