🧵 Workshop Overview – Summer Sundress Sewing Workshop
If you’ve always wanted to make your own clothing, this Summer Sundress Sewing Workshop is the perfect opportunity to build your confidence and develop your sewing skills.
Firstly, you’ll learn how to draft your pattern onto pattern drafting paper. Next, you’ll prepare and cut your fabric accurately. You will then assemble the garment pieces and learn basic fitting techniques. Finally, you’ll apply professional finishing methods to complete your summer sundress.
By the end of the workshop, you’ll have completed your own handmade garment. In addition, you’ll gain practical skills that can be applied to future dressmaking projects.

🚫 What to Bring
Participants will need to bring:
- Matching thread
- 0.5 metre of lightweight or medium-weight interfacing (available from Sewcute Fabrics)
- Cotton Lawn fabric (not available in-store)
- Cotton Poplin fabric (not available in-store)
- Lightweight Linen fabric (available from Sewcute Fabrics)
Fabric Requirements
You will need approximately 2.5–4 metres of fabric. However, the exact amount will depend on your chosen size and fabric width.

Time: 10:00am – 4:00pm
The workshop may finish earlier depending on individual skill levels and progress.
Skill Level: Suitable for confident beginners and intermediate sewists. However, this workshop is not suitable for anyone who has never used a sewing machine before.
