This workshop is great for people wanting to start on their journey of how to make clothing and read patterns.
Workshop description: On this workshop you will be provided with a A0 Lounge wear pants pattern, you will be guided through the process of cutting out and making your pants with our new tutor Denise, you will learn how to correctly cut out your pattern, how to lay out your fabric correctly and how to cut this out the right way, once you have completed this stage you will be shown how to construct your pants to the correct size, by the end of this workshop you should have a finished set of lounge pants.
Included in workshop: The Pattern on A0 paper . the use of our new Brother sewing Machines and over lockers, rotary cutters, cutting mats, rulers, scissors, workshop equipment. If you require left hand scissors or struggle with arthritis please let us know as we have left handed scissors and ones to help with dexterity problems. Hot and cold drinks are available at no extra cost. You can help yourself in our kitchen.
Not included in workshop: Fabric, thread, Elastic.
Requirements: 2.5 meter of cotton or polycotton fabric, approx 1 metre of elastic & thread.
Time & Duration: 10am – 4pm approx. 6 hours (inc breaks)
Skill Level : Basic knowledge of using a sewing machine.

Free car parking : We have a large car park to the rear of our building, or you can park straight over the road at Home Bargains. The adjoining store (Sewcute Fabrics) and workshop area has wheelchair access.
