Thanks to Universal Funding from Doncaster Council, we are delighted to offer 120 fully funded spaces in our sewing workshops for children aged 5-11 and 12-16. These sessions provide a fantastic opportunity for young people to develop essential sewing skills, explore their creativity, and gain confidence in a supportive environment.
Our Universal Funding workshops will run from Thursday 8th August to Tuesday 27th August, with each participant attending six 2-hour workshops. During these sessions, children will learn how to use a sewing machine and work on practical projects, including making a tote bag and a cushion cover. These hands-on activities allow them to build practical life skills that can be useful for the future.
We have a strong track record of delivering high-quality, engaging workshops for children and young people. Thanks to previous Universal Funding grants, we have successfully hosted numerous sessions, receiving excellent feedback and high attendance. Parents and carers have shared how these workshops have positively impacted their children, helping them develop new skills, independence, and a sense of achievement.
At Sew Mindful Crafts, we are passionate about providing inclusive, accessible, and enjoyable learning experiences for the community. Our premises offer a bright, welcoming space equipped with all the necessary materials, ensuring that every child can fully participate without the need to bring anything along.
We are incredibly grateful for the support of Universal Funding, which enables us to continue offering these valuable sessions. Spaces are limited, so early booking is advised.
