Sewing for Wellbeing is a free 8 week course for people living in Doncaster and have a persistent, long term or chronic health condition – anyone meeting this criteria is eligible to join and have a free place. If you don’t meet the criteria but are interested in taking part in the course, there may be some places available for a small charge (£45 for the full 8 weeks). Please check here for availability or give us a call.
The course takes place on Monday mornings 10am-1pm and is also followed by a free coffee, cake and chat time (1pm-3pm).
The 8 week course includes learning how to use a sewing machine, how to make a bag, how to make a patchwork cushion cover, upcycling and adjusting clothes and how to use an overlocker.
All equipment and materials are supplied. No experience of sewing or crafting is required.
This programme is funded by the Social Isolation Alliance.
