Sew Mindful Crafts Projects – Supporting the Doncaster Community

At Sew Mindful Crafts, we are passionate about delivering meaningful projects that support our local community through creativity and learning. Our Sew Mindful Crafts Projects provide opportunities for children, adults, and vulnerable individuals to develop skills, build confidence, and connect with others. Below are some of the key projects we are currently delivering.

Universal Funding – Free Child Workshops

Thanks to Universal Funding from Doncaster Council, we are offering free sewing workshops for children aged 5-11 and 12-16. These sessions allow young participants to learn essential sewing skills while creating their own tote bag and cushion cover in a fun and supportive environment.

We are delighted to provide 120 fully funded spaces, spread across six workshops, ensuring that children can access valuable learning experiences at no cost.

Winter Warmth – Helping Doncaster Stay Warm

Our Winter Warmth Project is part of our Sew Mindful Crafts Projects initiative, supporting families and individuals in South Doncaster by providing essential winter warmth kits.

We aim to help 75 people by providing:

✔️ Hats, scarves, and hand warmers
✔️ Essential warmth kits to those in need
✔️ Support through local organisations

We have received funding from Well Doncaster to cover fabric and materials, but we rely on community support to make this project happen. We are working with Doncaster Council and local organisations to ensure these resources reach the right people.
