Our Projects

Universal Funding

We have received universal funding from Doncaster Council to put on some child workshops for 5-11 year olds and 12-16 year olds where they will be sewing and constructing a tote bag as well as making a cushion cover, learning vital skills in a bright open environment. As a result of this funding we can offer 120 spaces in total across 6 workshops.

Craft with the Lads

Craft with the Lads is our men only crafting programme, where we offer a range of weekly crafting activities exclusively for men.  Activities include machine sewing, making clothes and accessories, quilting, knitting, crochet and illustrating. The sessions will help men connect, make friends, learn new skills and be creative. While enjoying the creative activity, the men will also gain confidence, have an opportunity to talk and build good mental health and resilience. This programme is funded The National Lottery Community Fund.

Sewing for Wellbeing

Sewing for Wellbeing is a free 8 week course of creative activities for people living in Doncaster and have a persistent, long term or chronic health condition. The course includes learning how to use a sewing machine, how to make a bag, how to make a patchwork cushion cover, upcycling and adjusting clothes and how to use an overlocker.

This programme is funded by the Social Isolation Alliance.

Winter Warmth

Our winter warmth project is to help support families and individuals with winter warmth essentials, helping residents in the south of Doncaster to stay warm over the colder months.
Our goal is to help around 75 individuals keep warm by providing them with an essential warmth kit that includes a hat, scarf and hand warmers.
We have received some funding from Well Doncaster  to cover the cost of fabric and cotton for this project, but to make this happen and to help these people we need your support and skills.
We will be working with local organisations and the Doncaster council to make sure these items go to the right people and we will personally thank everyone involved.
