Looking for a fun, hands-on activity in Doncaster? Join our Worry Monster Workshop Doncaster — a creative, beginner-friendly session designed especially for kids aged 5–11.

Thanks to funding from Doncaster’s Universal Fund, this exciting workshop inspires children to explore their imagination through bright fabrics, fun shapes, and silly monster-making. It’s a perfect mix of creativity, skill-building, and confidence-boosting fun — all in a safe, supportive space.

✂️ Workshop Overview: Design & Create Your Own Mini Worry Monster

During this 2-hour session, your child will design and create a mini worry monster from scratch. First, they’ll choose from a variety of fabrics, googly eyes, and playful accessories like antennas or felt tongues. Then, with step-by-step guidance, they’ll stitch and decorate their creation — one that’s just as quirky and unique as they are!

As a result, your child will not only create something fun, but also develop fine motor skills and a sense of pride. Additionally, they’ll enjoy every moment in our warm, inclusive environment.

✅ What’s Included in This Kids’ Sewing Workshop

Everything your child needs is ready and waiting. We provide:

  • A wide selection of fabrics, buttons, thread, stuffing, and monster decorations

  • Templates and all crafting tools (kid-safe and fully supervised)

  • Use of child-friendly sewing equipment

  • Expert guidance from a friendly instructor

  • Short, scheduled breaks with drinks and snacks

  • A finished worry monster to proudly take home

In addition, our team ensures the space is calm and encouraging for all children.

❌ What You Need to Bring

Nothing! We supply everything. Simply bring your child and their imagination — we’ll handle the rest. Because we know comfort matters, we make sure the space is warm, clean, and welcoming.

⏰ Workshop Time & Duration

  • Time: 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM

  • Duration: Approx. 2 hours (with short breaks to keep things fun and relaxed)

🎓 Skill Level

This workshop is perfect for beginners. No sewing or crafting experience is needed. Because every child learns differently, we adapt the session to support various learning styles. In fact, we’re proud to offer an inclusive environment where every child is encouraged to learn at their own pace.

The Worry Monster Workshop Doncaster is proudly funded by Doncaster Metropolitan Borough Council’s Universal Fund. This grant supports inclusive, enriching activities for children and young people across the region — especially those aged up to 19, or up to 25 with diagnosed SEND.

As a result, families can enjoy high-quality creative learning experiences with no added cost.
