🧵 Quilting Workshop for Beginners – Stage 5 (Trailing Star)
Welcome to our Quilting Workshop for Beginners. This friendly and supportive workshop is perfect for anyone who would love to make a patchwork quilt but isn’t sure how to get started — or is continuing their quilting journey with us.
Our experienced tutor Anita has a wealth of quilting knowledge and will guide you step by step as you build your skills and confidence.
👉 Please note: This is a follow-on workshop and is now Stage 5, where you’ll be creating your 7th quilt block – the Trailing Star.
🪡 What You’ll Be Doing
During this hands-on quilting workshop, you will learn how to:
Measure and cut fabric accurately
Use a rotary cutter and quilting ruler safely and correctly
Lay out and sew your fabric pieces together
Create your 7th quilt block – The Trailing Star
This workshop series continues with new dates, introducing a variety of quilting blocks and techniques. Over time, you’ll learn how to join your blocks together to create a beautiful handmade quilt.

Basic knowledge of how to use a sewing machine is required

Trailing Star block:
3 x different fabrics (each piece a fat quarter in size)
Matching thread
Optional:
You’re welcome to use additional colours if you wish — just bring extra fabric pieces.

Irons and mini irons
